In a celebration of innovation and dedication to education, the Colonial Heights Education Foundation recently awarded grants to seven deserving classrooms within the Colonial Heights Public Schools district. These grants, made possible through the generous support of community partners such as the Colonial Heights/Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Parks and Rec, aim to enhance learning experiences and empower educators to further enrich their students' education.
Out of thirteen passionate applicants, seven educators were selected to receive these prestigious grants for their exceptional proposals:

- Michelle Gates (Colonial Heights Middle School) - Reading Circles
- Corey Johnson (Tussing Elementary) - Run Club
