The 2024-2025 school is the first year for full implementation of the Virginia Literacy Act (VLA).  To support our students and meet the requirements of the VLA, each elementary school and Colonial Heights Middle School has a designated reading specialist.  The reading specialist, in collaboration with the teacher of any student who receives such reading intervention services, develops, oversees implementation of, and monitors student progress on a student reading plan.  Contact information for our reading specialists and literacy coaches can be found below.
