School Reminders for COVID-19

A Message from Dr. Sroufe, Colonial Heights Public Schools Superintendent:

We've had a great opening, and we're excited about this upcoming year.

In addition, we feel that it's a good time to review our procedures in regards to staying healthy at school. It takes us all working together to navigate these challenging times. If your child gets sick, it's most often appropriate to keep him or her home from school. A child who is sick will not be able to perform well in school and is likely to spread the illness to other children and staff. If there is a positive case of COVID-19 in your household, please call the school before sending your child and follow quarantine procedures.

If you think your child has been exposed to someone with COVID-19, please call before sending your child to school and follow quarantine procedures. If your child is showing symptoms of COVID-19 such as fever, vomiting, chills, or other common cold symptoms, please call before sending your child to school. These guidelines are precautions to serve the best interest of all the children in our care. If you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to your child's school. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we strive to keep students and staff healthy.
