African American History and Culture Museum - Smithsonian Institution - Long before the Smithsonian Institution opens its newest museum on African American History and Culture, slated to open in 2015, the Institution has launched a virtual version where visitors can also donate their own memories, essays or recordings to the real-world museum. Metropolitan Educational Research Consortium (MERC) - MERC is a consortium of Virginia Commonwealth University and seven Richmond area public school systems dedicated to improving education through conducting and disseminating action research. NASA "Kids' Club"" - NASA has created a new online "Kids'Club" serving up games, activities and plenty of action for future explorers. The new site features animated, colorful, entertaining and educational activities for children in kindergarten through fourth grade. Interactive games include exploring and learning about space, building and launching rockets, exploring Mars, keeping airplanes on schedule and helping a comet travel through the solar system.
